We installed a new rail tower and dismantled and removed the old piping and materials from the existing tower. We handled the excavation and provided back fill where it was necessary to install the new rail tower and we installed one 48” sonotube, 6’ deep to anchor the rail tower.
We built a single pedestal-style rail car access platform that unlocks, folds down and extends out to the rail car. The platform was equipped with a 30” wide stair unit to grade. The tower was constructed of galvanized steel, slip resistant bar gratings, walk surface and handrails with midrails and toeboards.
The gangway is a 48” wide flap ramp with a 1’ – 10” telescoping extension for gap protection, a +15/-15 degrees from horizontal working range with self-leveling handrails, midrails and toeboards. The gangway was constructed of aluminum and base treads and the uprights were made of galvanized steel. The gangway was self-supporting with adjustable chain stops and they have 500 lbs capacity when supported.
All of the necessary piping for both liquid and vapor lines were furnished. All of the necessary valves and equipment were supplied and conform to the NFPA Pamphlet.
CES provided a contractor to equip the tank with two 4” 300# flanged nozzles. After the nozzles were installed, a temporary dome was welded around the nozzle and hydrostatically tested for inspection.
CES provided and installed two Corken Z4500 pumps and one 20 HP motor. By-pass lines back to the tank were also installed.
